Ellie speaks about her recent return from injury, the 'ins' and 'out' of the only Marathon to take place this year, her current training, advice around training for recreational runners, and the latest in race-ready footwear. The 2020 London Marathon will involve elite-athletes only and will take place on October 4.

  • This week the TRAIL podcast chats to world-renowned researcher & sports medicine specialist Dr Peter Brukner OAM @pbrukner (MBBS, FACSP, FACSM, FASMF, FFSEM) 

Peter has worked as a doctor for Liverpool Football Club, The Australian Cricket team, the Australian Olympic team, the Socceroos, and numerous AFL teams including Melbourne & Collingwood to just name a few. 

He is a stalwart of the sports media, specialising in injuries and overall wellness, while also publishing academic books including Clinical Sports Medicine. 
He was one of the founding members of the Australian College of Sports Physicians, and the first Australian to be elected to the Board of the American College of Sports Medicine - receiving an Order of Australia Medal for his efforts.

Peter was the team manager of the Australian team at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 and is pictured here with Cathy Freemanโ€™s Olympic 400 metre winning Gold medal!!
